Our Mission
The mission of the Arkansas Volleyball Coaches Association is to create a dynamic platform where coaches can collaborate, network, and grow together. We are dedicated to fostering a supportive community that empowers coaches to share knowledge, enhance skills, and elevate the volleyball experience for athletes across Arkansas. Through our commitment to excellence, we aim to inspire and develop future leaders in the sport.
Our team

Natalie Thronberry
President
Head Coach
Southside High School
Natalie wanted to bring ArVCA back to provide a place for coaches to collaborate, network, and grow.
​
After playing collegiately for Arkansas State University 2005-06 and the University of Central Arkansas 2007-08, she returned to Fort Smith in 2010 as assistant coach at Southside, her alma mater, and took over as head coach in 2019.
During her time at Southside as a player, assistant coach, and head coach, she has been a part of 3 State Championships, 5 State Runner-Ups, 16 State Semifinal Appearances, and 7 Conference Championships.

Katie Huff
Vice President
Head Coach
Greenbrier High School
Katie joined ArVCA's vision because she shared the desire for coaches to have a place to challenge one another and collaborate.
After playing at Arkansas Tech, she was the Graduate Assistant at Tech for two years, and then went to play professional volleyball in Europe.

​In 2018 Katie took over the program at Greenbrier. They have since won 4 Conference titles and appeared in the 2024 State Finals.

Lindsey Biocic
Secretary
Head Coach Prairie Grove High School
Lindsey joined Natalie in an effort to bring ArVCA back to the forefront of the coaching community. She wants coaches to have a place to advance the sport and cultivate learning.

After playing at Arkansas Tech, she joined the volleyall program at Prarie Grove as head coach from 2014-2016. In the fall of 2016 she left Prairie Grove to be the head Coach at Rogers Heritage and later decided to return to Prairie Grove where she is currently the Head Coach.
​
Lindsey has led Prairie Grove to 2 Conference Championships since she has been there.

Payton Northington

Assistant Coach
Southside High School
​Payton joined the vision of ArVCA because she has a passion for volleyball in the state of Arkansas and wants to help the sport fully flourish.
After playing at UAFS, helping them reach the NCAA Final Four and Elite Eight in consecutive years, she joined the coaching staff at Southside in 2018 as a volunteer. She was hired as the assistant coach under Natalie Throneberry in 2019.

Since being a part of the program, Southside has been to 7 state tournaments, including 4 State Final appearances and 4 Conference titles.

Markie Alberius
Head Coach Little Rock Central High School
Markie joins the ArVCA board with deep roots in the Arkansas Volleyball community.
​
After a successful career at Arkansas State, Markie took over at Little Rock Central and she is beginning her 5th season as the Head Volleyball Coach there. She has also coached club volleyball in Arkansas for 10+ years.
Markie is passionate about bettering the sport for our athletes so they can succeed. She is excited about how ArVCA can impact that growth.

5A Representative
Jennifer Golden
Head Coach Greenwood High School
Jennifer comes to ArVCA with a wealth of knowledge and experience with Arkansas High School Volleyball.

Jennifer has been coaching at Greenwood for 24 years where she has won over 500 games, 3 state championships and several conference championships. She has also been on the All-Star coaching staff multiple times and was recognized in 202 as an AVCA top 40 high school coach.
​
Jennifer also serves on the AVCA Region 4 Committee. She is looking forward to pouring into ArVCA and helping the game grow even further.

4A Representative
Wes Davis
Head Coach
Clarksville High School
Wes comes to ArVCA with a great deal of experience in the Arkansas High School Coaching world.
​
Wes won 3 state titles and 3 state Runner Ups at Paris as well as 5 Conference Championships, 3 Conference Coach of the year, 3 time All-Star Coach, 2016 AR Preps coach of the year, 2017 NWADG Coach of the year. He is now at Clarksville and is working to turn around the volleyball program for the panthers.

Wes is an advocate for growth of the game in our sport and will have a lot to add to ArVCA.

3A Representative
Paige Gantar
Head Coach Episcopal Collegiate High School
Paige joins ArVCA from ECS
and brings a unique perspective.
​
Paige took over ECS Varsity Volleyball 2020. Since then, they have a state Finals appearance, and a conference championship.
Paige was named to the AVCA 30 Under 30 List in 2023 and was 2022 AVCA 16's Club Coach of the Year.
As an alumni of UCA, Paige brings a lot of experience to ArVCA board and is excited to watch the game continue to grow.

Brooke White
Assistant Coach
Benton High School
Brooke brings a distinct perspective to the ArVCA table with her experience at all levels.
Brooke is currently at Benton and has been at Benton Schools since 2019.
Prior to her time in Arkansas, Brooke has served at the Head Volleyball Coach at North Pointe Preparatory in Phoenix, AZ and the Head Volleyball Coach and Senior Women’s Administrator at Southern Arkansas University Magnolia, AR.

Brooke looks forward to joining the ArVCA mission and growing the knowledge of the game in our state.

7th -9th Grade Representative
Kelsey Stone
Head Coach
Alma Junior High
Kelsey has a passion for teaching the game and we are looking forward to her insite on this new journey.
​
As a collegiate player, coach, and one that has built a program from the ground up, Kelsey is going to be able to help a unique group of coaches in our state.
After starting the program at Ozark, she led them to a 2nd place finish and a state tournament appearance in just 7 years.
​
Kelsey is now at Alma as the head middle school coach. She has a passion for teaching young players to love the game and she will be an asset to our ArVCA team.
